Long Time SRC Resident Inga Spankenwhomper Dies of Old Age

After 10 months of care at Spider Rescue Center, Inga Spankenwhomper, a female Steatoda Grossa, was found dead on August 2nd, 2012. Due to the fact that we are uncertain how old she was when she came into the care of Spider Rescue Center, it is assumed she died of natural causes (probably old age). It is certain that it was not from lack of care, as she was fed to standard and kept under perfect conditions. She stopped eating, and was having trouble walking over her own web – something that was not typical of her.
