Our goal at the Spider Rescue Center is preserving the life of spiders. Therefore, we feel it is our duty to help inform others on how to care for spiders as pets in order to help them live long, happy lives. If you are not interested in keeping spiders as pets, you can practice relocation by taking your spider to a natural habitat (please note that it is illegal to release foreign species like tarantulas into the wild).
- It is illegal to house rare or endangered species. If you happen to find any, call an entomology research center for further instruction on what to do.
- In some states, it is illegal to house venomous spiders such as the black widow.
- It is considered animal cruelty to experiment on, provide poor treatment, or torture spiders.
